Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee is responsible for generating financial support through various fundraising activities to sustain and grow the Centerville Youth Lacrosse program. The committee ensures the club remains financially viable while keeping player costs reasonable.
Objectives:
· Develop a comprehensive fundraising plan for the season.
· Organize events, sponsorships, and partnerships with local businesses.
· Work with the board to ensure funds are allocated to areas that support player development and team success.
Tasks:
· Plan and execute fundraising events (e.g., raffles, car washes, silent auctions).
· Research and contact potential sponsors or donors.
· Manage fundraising campaigns and track donations.
· Collaborate with the Website and Socials Committees to promote fundraising efforts.
· Provide regular financial reports to the board regarding fundraising progress.
Facilities Committee
The Facilities Committee is responsible for ensuring that the physical venue is ready, well-organized, and safe for players, coaches, spectators, and volunteers.
Objectives:
· Recruit and schedule volunteers to cover various roles such as field setup, score and time keepers, and concession stand workers
Tasks:
· Opens the field about an hour before the first scheduled game time.
· Volunteers must remain at the field during their shift and ensure the field is properly closed after the last game.
Social Committee
The Social Committee manages the club's social media platforms, promoting the club, engaging with the community, and keeping families informed about events and achievements.
Objectives:
· Build a strong online community through active engagement.
· Share news, photos, and updates to promote the club’s activities.
· Increase visibility and outreach of Centerville Youth Lacrosse to attract new players and supporters.
Tasks:
· Manage social media accounts (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), and post regularly about practices, games, events, and player achievements.
· Work with team parents to gather photos and videos from games to post relevant updates on social accounts.
· Engage with followers and ensure messages or inquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
· Promote fundraising events and registration drives.
· Collaborate with the Fundraising and Website Committees to ensure unified messaging.
Website Committee
The Website Committee manages the online presence of Centerville Youth Lacrosse, ensuring that the website is up-to-date, user-friendly, and serves as a resource for players, parents, and the community.
Objectives:
· Maintain an engaging and informative website.
· Ensure timely updates regarding schedules, registration, and news.
· Provide a platform for easy communication and information sharing.
Tasks:
· Update the website with team schedules, game results, and news.
· Create and manage registration forms and payment options.
· Post relevant content, including photos, player highlights, and announcements.
· Optimize the website for mobile use.
· Collaborate with the Social Committee to align website content with social media updates.
Coaches/Coaching Committee
The Coaches/Coaching Committee is dedicated to recruiting, training, and supporting the coaching staff to ensure a high level of instruction and player development.
Objectives:
· Ensure all coaches are trained in lacrosse fundamentals, safety, and player development.
· Foster a positive environment for players and coaches.
· Provide ongoing support and resources for coaching staff.
Tasks:
· Recruit and vet potential coaches.
· Organize coaching clinics and training sessions.
· Provide coaches with necessary resources, including playbooks and practice plans.
· Address any concerns or needs from coaches.
· Regularly assess coaching performance and provide feedback.
